PocketVila provides digital payment and utility services, including mobile recharge, DTH recharge, mobile postpaid, broadband/landline, electricity bill, water bill, piped gas, LPG cylinder booking, FASTag recharge, credit card bill payment, loan repayment, insurance premium payment, cable TV, municipal taxes, education fees, housing society payments, hospital payments, subscriptions, challan, wallet services, add money, wallet history, transaction reports, complaints, KYC/profile services, offers, banners, alerts, and customer support.
3. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may collect the following information:
- Account information: name, mobile number, email address, address, profile photo, and account status.
- KYC/profile information: Aadhaar number or other verification details when provided by you for KYC, verification, or regulatory requirements.
- Transaction information: recharge number, DTH/customer ID, operator, circle/state, biller details, bill amount, wallet balance, payment status, transaction ID, reference ID, cashback/margin, transaction date, receipts, and transaction history.
- Contacts: with your permission, we may access contacts to help you select a mobile number for recharge or payment.
- Photos, media, storage, and camera: with your permission, we may access gallery, camera, or storage for profile photo update, receipt sharing, downloads, complaint/support attachments, or similar app functions.
- Biometric/fingerprint: if enabled by you, biometric authentication is used only for secure login or app access on your device. We do not receive or store your fingerprint or biometric data.
- Device and app information: device type, app version, network status, Firebase notification token, crash/error information, and technical logs required for app security and reliability.
- Payment information: payment method, wallet transaction details, UPI/payment status, and transaction confirmations. We do not store card PIN, UPI PIN, banking password, or OTP.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To create, verify, and manage your PocketVila account.
- To send and verify OTP for login and account security.
- To process mobile recharge, DTH recharge, bill payments, wallet transactions, and other services.
- To fetch operator, circle, plan, biller, customer, and bill details.
- To show transaction history, wallet history, receipts, reports, cashback, and payment status.
- To update your profile and profile photo.
- To provide customer support, complaint handling, dispute handling, and service notifications.
- To send app alerts, offers, banners, status updates, and important security notifications.
- To prevent fraud, unauthorized activity, and misuse of services.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, audit, tax, payment partner, and settlement requirements.
5. Permissions Used by the App
- Internet and network access: to connect with our servers and process services.
- Contacts: to select numbers for recharge or payment.
- Camera and photos/media/storage: to upload profile photo, share/download receipts, or attach files where needed.
- Notifications: to send OTP/status/service alerts and important or promotional updates.
- Biometric/fingerprint: for optional secure access on your device.
- Wake lock, boot, and foreground service: to support important notifications and service reliability.
You can control app permissions from your device settings. Some features may not work properly if required permissions are disabled.
6. Sharing of Information
We may share required information with:
- Recharge, DTH, BBPS, biller, operator, payment gateway, wallet, banking, and settlement partners.
- KYC or verification partners where applicable.
- Firebase/Google services for push notifications, analytics, app stability, and messaging.
- Service providers who help us operate, maintain, secure, and improve the app.
- Government, legal, regulatory, or law enforcement authorities when required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect user information. Transactions are processed through secured APIs and service partners. However, no internet or mobile application system is 100% secure, so users should keep their device, OTP, PIN, and account credentials safe.
8. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as required to provide services, maintain transaction records, comply with legal or regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and support audit requirements. Transaction and payment records may be retained for longer periods as required by law and financial regulations.
9. Data Correction, Deletion, and Account Requests
You may request account data correction, profile update, or deletion by contacting us. Some transaction, KYC, settlement, tax, audit, legal, or regulatory records may be retained even after account deletion where required by law.
10. Children’s Privacy
PocketVila is intended for users who are legally allowed to use payment and financial services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us for review and deletion where applicable.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The app may contain links to third-party websites, billers, payment apps, UPI apps, or service providers. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices.
